Delivery Driver

Seeking Commercial and Residential Class B CDL Driver $25+ per hour D.O.E. This is a full-time/year-round position.

Locally Grown, Veteran Owned waste hauler is looking for a fun, energetic person to join our team. We are a fast-paced company with an immediate opening for residential and commercial delivery driver.

Candidate must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment screening, which includes previous employer inquiries, drug and alcohol testing, and MVR records review.

Duties include servicing residential and commercial garbage customers by delivering totes and dumpsters to new customers and collecting existing totes for repair and inventory. L&L has a very high standard when it comes to customer service, our employees are the face of our company, and we are looking for individuals who will represent us well in our community.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • The candidate must display excellent time management skills, and close attention to detail.
  • Have the ability to assemble new totes, perform maintenance on existing totes, and maintain an accurate inventory of all totes and dumpsters.
  • Have the ability to operate a box van/pickup and trailer/flatbed Moffett truck for delivery and pick up of totes and dumpsters.
  • Provide high quality in-person customer service for new and existing customers.
  • Coordinate with office staff for deliveries and collection of garbage totes and commercial dumpsters
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and lifting, and occasional throwing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 51 pounds at times. 
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Tolerate strong odors

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with airbrake endorsement preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Understand and follow directions.
  • Ability to adhere to safety standards and guidelines.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic welding experience helpful

Job Summary:
The truck operator will be responsible for the operation of Roll-Off trucks.

Duties/ Responsibilities:
· Performs vehicle safety and operation checks before beginning route.
· Drives varied routes daily
· Collects materials in Roll-off containers and disposes in proper sites such as the landfill or recycling centers
· Notifies dispatchers and/or supervisors of delays, unsafe sites, accidents, breakdowns, or other issues.
· Operates machinery to hoist or compress refuse.
· Cleans and inspects vehicles at the end of the day.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
· Ability to understand and follow directions.
· Ability to adhere to safety standards and guidelines.

Additional Requirements:

Locally owned & operated waste hauler is looking for a fun, energetic person to join our Team. We are looking for a front desk person. Candidate must be able to communicate with customers in person OR over the phone in a professional and friendly matter. We are a fast-paced company that holds customer service to the highest of standards.

Duties will include answering phones, taking messages, filing paperwork and misc. office duties. Candidate needs to be comfortable on a computer with Email, Word, Excel, navigating the web, proficient in typing etc. Willingness to learn our routing/client software is a must. Candidate will also be signing up new clients, doing data entry and coordinating deliveries, so attention to detail is imperative.

This will be a Part-Time position with the opportunity to work into a Full-Time Position. Monday thru Friday with some weekends required (home shows, parades etc.) Pay DOE.
